At the inorganic research programme we are working with a number of techniques for synthesis of bulk materials, thin films and nanoparticles using e.g. sintering, sol-gel, magnetron sputtering, chemical vapour deposition (CVD), atomic layer deposition (ALD) and electrochemistry. Our research can be divided into the following areas
- Bulk materials
- Thin film materials from gas phase
- Nanomaterials from solution
- Electrochemistry and corrosion
- Theoretical modelling
- Materials for energy applications
The Inorganic chemistry research program has the most advanced x-ray laboratory for powder and thin film diffraction in Sweden. Powder diffraction is used for phase and structure analyses, additional cambers for high and low temperature in-situ investigations are also available.
