Lynn Kamerlin awarded the Thuréus Prize by The Royal Society of Sciences at Uppsala

The Royal Society of Sciences at Uppsala has decided to award the Thuréus Prize in the natural history-medical class to Prof. Lynn Kamerlin at the Department of Chemistry - BMC.

Lynn Kamerlin receives the award: "For her successful studies of cause and effect between structure and reaction efficiency, as well as substrate specificity, in biochemical enzymes".

The Thuréus Prizes originate in a donation by the late doctor and Uppsala student Sven Thuréus, Through the formation of Lilly and Sven Thuréus' fund for Nature and Culture. The prize money is SEK 75,000.

The Royal Society of Sciences at Uppsala was founded in 1710 and is Sweden's oldest academy of science. More information about the company can be found on their website.
