Gerrit BoschlooResearch.com has published a ranking list of the most outstanding researchers, nationally and internationally, in various research fields. Two of the researchers at the Department of Chemistry - Ångström are included in the top-15 list in Sweden, within both Chemistry and Materials science. 

In place number 8 in the field of Materials Science and number 15 in Chemistry in Sweden (and in place 745 vs. 977 internationally) we find Prof. Gerrit Boschloo, working within the Physical Chemistry research programme.

Anders HagfeldtThe top position in Sweden, in both Chemistry and Materials Science, and place number 74 vs. 85 internationally, is held by Prof. Anders Hagfeldt, Vice-Chancellor of Uppsala University. Anders has worked at the department for many years and currently has a research position here during his time serving as Vice-Chancellor at the university.

Both Anders and Gerrit's research focuses on solar cells - just like Prof. Michael Grätzel, who is ranked number 1 internationally in Chemistry and number 2 in Materials Science.

Many other researchers at the department are also listed in the rankings.
