Courses and Programmes within chemistry

What can I study within chemistry?
Welcome to the chemistry education at the Section of Chemistry at Uppsala University! We offer the following Master's programmes and independent courses in the subject of chemistry given in English:
- Master's Programme in Chemistry (8 different specializations)
- Master's Programme in Analytical Chemistry - EACH (Erasmus-Mundus)
- Master's Programme in Battery Technology and Energy Storage
More information about each programme can be found below. See also the list with search function on all courses and programmes given at the Section of Chemistry at the bottom of this page.
Master's Programme in Chemistry (120 credits)
The Master's Programme in Chemistry offers a choice between eight study tracks: Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bio- and Nanomaterials, Physical Chemistry, Chemicals for Renewable Energy, Chemical Biology, Organic Chemistry, and Theoretical Chemistry. All of these tracks are based on strong areas of research at Uppsala University, providing you with cutting-edge expertise through in-depth studies in the particular area of your choice.
(In addition to these tracks, we also offer the Master's Programme in Analytical Chemistry - EACH (Excellence in Analytical Chemistry) and the Master's Programme in Battery Technology and Energy Storage. See below for more information.)
You may also choose, within the framework of your degree, to combine chemistry studies with subjects such as entrepreneurship, languages or project management.
