Studies of chemical luminescent and bioluminescent reactions

A large number of chemical reactions producing reactants which emit light. This phenomenon has approximately 3,000 animal species acquired and is luminous. In this project, we are interested in developing a molecular orbital description of these processes, both at the smallest molecular system that has this feature (dioxetane systems) as well as in the firefly luciferin-luciferase complex.
