Our Research at Chemistry - BMC
The Department of Chemistry – BMC is organised into three research programmes:
The general theme of research is the synthesis and analysis of molecules and their assemblies, in order to understand their structural and chemical features, and their implications in life science and technology. Synthesis and characterization using advanced analytical and biophysical methods are important thematic areas of interest for all research programmes, while molecular recognition is a common theme to many groups.
The specific research topics in the different research programmes have evolved over time as a result of department and programme strategies, available resources and the interests of the principal investigators. The department encourages the establishment of new research topics when they fit the strategic goals of a research programme and necessary resources are available.
