Daniel Globisch on IVA's 100-list

2022-05-17

The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) presents its yearly 100-list of research projects, all of which they believe have high potential to create immediate benefits through commercialization, method development or societal impact. "Technology in the service of humanity" is the theme for 2022.

With its 100-list, IVA wants to highlight new research so that researchers and industry can make contact and create innovation together, for the benefit of society.

Daniel Globisch, senior lecturer at the Department of Chemistry-BMC, runs one of the chosen research projects, MEPPS. MEPPS is a new method that facilitates analysis of rare metabolites and the investigation of their connection to disease development. The method paves the way for the discovery of biomarkers which can be used for diagnosing different diseases. The project receives support from UU Innovation.
