Interview with Vasily Roganov

Name: Vasily Roganov
From: Russia. I came to Sweden in 2016 after I had finished high school in Moscow. The first two years in Sweden I lived in Örebro and then moved to Uppsala county.  
Studying: I am a bachelor student in chemistry.

Why did you choose to study chemistry? 
I think that knowledge of chemistry will help me to understand biochemical processes and how I can construct instruments to analyze and control them.

How come you chose to study at Uppsala University? 
The Uppsala University has wide variety of research departments. Teachers are leading researchers. It means that I have availability ask and talk with competent people in various areas for example in physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology and all small branches of those and other areas.

What do you like most about studying in Uppsala? 
That I have opportunity to study at Uppsala University.

Can you tell us a little bit about your research?
I am helping to assign NMR data for now.

What do you want to do when you are finished with your studies?
I would like to keep on studying and researching.

To study.

I would like to do research in areas that I consider as important and do what I like to do without worries about how to make a living or how to get instruments or materials for my research.
