Orthaber Group

We cover different aspects of molecular main group chemistry with a focus on heavier Group 15 compounds in unusual bonding situations. This includes phosphorus derivatives such as phosphaalkenes (P=C), phospholes, arsoles and arsaalkene chemistry. Coordination compounds thereof are also studied with respect to their catalytic applications as well as their supramolecular chemistry. Moreover we investigated potential applications of highly planar pi-conjugated materials within the field of organic electronics.
