Tian Group - Molecular Devices for Artificial Photosynthesis

A molecular device for photosynthesis

Molecular sensitized mesoporous electrodes are used to convert sunlight to electricity, fuels and chemicals.

Converting sunlight into electricity, fuels and chemicals is an important strategy to utilize and store the solar energy. Our group is mainly working on development and study of new materials used in artificial molecular devices for solar energy conversion and storage. The research projects in our group cover:

  1. Organic Polymer Nano-Photocatalysts
  2. Solar Fuel Devices for Water Splitting/CO2 Reduction
  3. Solid State p-Type Mesoporous Solar Cells
  4. Semiconductor Interface
