Charlène's paper published in Dalton Transactions 15th January 2019
Synthesis of a miniaturized [FeFe] hydrogenase model system
We syntesised a full H-cluster model, and studied its spectroscopic properties, and in collaboration with Meiyuan Guo and Marcus Lundberg support the data with computational chemistry. The system is catalytically active.
Well done everybody!

Holly wins Anna Maria Lundin travel grant January 2019
Holly was awarded approximately 14,000 SEK, this will allow her to travel to Lisbon, Portugal for the 12th International Conference on Hydrogenases (and other redox (bio)catalysts for energy conversion) ICH2019, in March/April.
Happy travelling! -
Brigi's paper published in Dalton Transaction 3rd January 2019
Monitoring H-cluster assembly using a semi-synthetic HydF protein
This is Brigi's 1st first author paper! We gain valuable insights into the assembly of the H-cluster, using semi-synthetic HydF.
Congratulations Brigitta!

Paper published in Energy and Environmental science 25th September 2018
Generation of a functional, semisynthetic [FeFe]-hydrogenase in a photosynthetic microorganism.
In collaboration with the group of Peter Lindblad, [FeFe]-hydrogenases were expressed and then syntheticaly activated in synechocystis. Hydrogen evolution assays were used to show that the semisynthetic enzyme links to the native metabolism.
Amazing!
