The International Year of Chemistry 2011 is a worldwide celebration of the achievements of chemistry and its contributions to the well-being of humankind. Under the local theme “When the chemistry is right - everything is possible” Uppsala will offer a range of interactive, entertaining, and educational activities for all ages. This city holds a lot of interesting chemistry research and activities and has a very impressive chemistry history.

Selection of the programme
We will have an opening cermony and an open house at Ångström laboratory the 28-29 of January. Other events are monthly presentations of different popular scientific themes in a various but central city locations. By springtime there will also be a guided chemistry walk in the city, possibly available in english.
